CELEBRATING DENVER ARTS WEEK
Denver has long been known for having a thriving arts community that is able to bring out some of the great talent in the area. Leave it to the Denver area to decide that a week of art just isn’t enough.
The Denver Arts Week actually lasts for nine days and celebrates all things
art-related in the Mile-High City. This year the event, which runs from November 1st
to November 9th , will feature a variety of events with more than 300 specific activities at local concert halls, theaters, galleries, and museums.
Here’s a sampling of some of the things you can do this year to celebrate art in
1. FIRST FRIDAY ART WALKS
Denver has multiple “art neighborhoods” that bring
in local community members to showcase the homegrown talent in the area. On Friday, November 1st , these neighborhoods will host their monthly First Friday art walk to kick off Arts Week.
These art walks feature local galleries taking to the streets to put their best
work on display. At the same time, visitors to these neighborhoods can take part in hands-on activities meant to get their own artistic juices
This year, the following districts will be hosting First Friday Art Walks:
40 West Arts District
Arts on Belmar
Olde Towne Arvada
Tennyson Street Cultural District
